Enrollment

Registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be held at the Powell County High School lunchroom July 18 and 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.  A make-up day will be held Monday, July 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Counselors will only be available on the 18th and 19th for high school scheduling.)  Please try to come on the following schedule:


PCHS Seniors/Sophomores, Bowen Elementary, Stanton Elementary- July 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
PCHS Juniors/Freshmen, Clay City Elementary, Powell County Middle School- July 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
NO REGISTRATION JULY 20
New Students and Make-Up day- July 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You should try to plan to come on the first day where you have any child in the Powell County Schools. If you are unable to come on your scheduled day, you may pick another day of the registration event to attend. If you are unable to come any day, you will have to complete the paperwork at the back to school picnics and there is more paperwork to complete so we encourage you to make every effort to come to the registration event.

INFINITE CAMPUS PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT: If you don't have a parent portal account to see your child's schedule, grades, and other information through Infinite Campus and would like to have an account, please complete this form and bring it with you to the registration.  Give it to an attendance clerk as you check out and they will issue you an acitvation code.

SCHOOL MESSENGER PERMISSION: If you are a parent or guardian of a student in the Powell County Schools and have not signed permission for us to call you with messages from our automated calling system, please complete the permission page found at this link.  You may also use this form to request that we stop calling a particular phone.  Submit this form during registration or send it with your child to the attendance clerk at your child's school during the school year.

All students who will be attending the Powell County Schools need the forms in the green shaded area. You may print them out and bring them to the registration event or complete them at the event. Complete the forms in this column only if you were not enrolled in the Powell County Schools on the last day of the 2016-2017 school year.

Lunch Form- 1 Per Family (While all students will receive free lunch this year it is very important for each family to complete this form so we will be able to maintain the free lunch status.  This form can be partially completed on line and printed to complete checkboxes.)

** If you are sure you don't qualify for free or reduced lunch please fill in your children's names and mark the box in Part 4 for declining to provide income and the form.  If we don't receive a form from your family will have to contact you to get it.  Thank you.

ILP Agreement- If enrolled in Powell County during the 2017-2018 year, this form is only needed for students going into the 6th grade.
Consent To Test- ONLY for high school students who will be receiving parking permits or participating in extra curricular clubs, sports, or other activities.
 

 

FORMS ARE FINALIZED AS OF 07-04-18. 

ALL STUDENTS

If you are a student who was enrolled in the Powell County Schools during the 2017-2018 school year and finished the school year in Powell County, you will only need to complete the forms listed above in the lefthand column for "All Students."

NEW STUDENTS

If you left the district and didn't complete the year or you are new to the district, you will need to complete the forms in both columns- "All Students" and "New Students."

SELECT STUDENTS

The forms in the "Select Students" section are for students who were enrolled in our district the previous year but are in the specified population of students for each form.

Please note the form for high school students wishing to participate in extra curricular activities such as clubs and sports and those students who wish to drive to school.  Students wishing to participate in activities or drive to school will need to have both parents and students sign permission to consent to test to random drug screenings.

Please make a note that some forms have to be filled out for each student and some forms are to be filled out by family to save you time.


The majority of these forms are available for you to pull up as a PDF file and type your information in the form, print out, and to bring to the registration/enrollment event if you would like to do so. If your children are not coming with you, it is important to at least print the Network User Agreement and obtain your children's signatures prior to coming.

Students age 18 and older must sign the Acknowledgement/Permission Page and other forms that require student signatures.
