In my free time I like to spend time with my family, travel, exercise, and work on home improvement projects.

Philosophy of Education:
I believe that each student is a unique individual who needs to be surrounded in a caring environment that promotes the necessary skills to help students grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially. As we move through the twenty-first century, I believe the need for technical skills are in high demand to prepare students for the workforce and post-secondary education. As a business educator, it is my desire to provide students with the necessary skills to become productive citizens and leaders. The three areas I feel are the most important for me as educator to instill in my students are:
(1) financial practices (saving, investing, bank reconciliation, and money management)
(2) technology (typing and application software)
(3) career exploration (interest inventory, develop marketable resumes, cover letters and master interview techniques)
I feel these skills will not only help students transition into the workforce and/or post-secondary education successfully but will continually be practiced throughout each individual's life.
