Principal Message 5/1/20

Hello Stanton Stinger families, this is Mr. Crase with a couple announcements. First I would like to take this time and thank you so much for the hard work you have been doing completing your NTI assignments. This is certainly not the way any of us wanted to close out this school year but I greatly appreciate the hard work everyone-our students, parents and families, and our staff have put in to get quality assignments and work completed so that instruction continued during the time we had to be apart. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for all your hard work. Parents and caretakers, you have been so flexible and great to work with during this time. As I’m sure your teacher has already communicated, this week marks the end of new NTI work for the school year. Next week, from May 4 through May 8, teachers will be concentrating on collecting work and will still be making those phone calls and communicating with you throughout the week. We need all NTI work turned in by May 8th so that teachers can finalize grades and we can work on the final set of report cards the following week.

My second announcement concerns kindergarten and 5th grade graduation slash promotion ceremonies. We are in the process of planning those ceremonies as we speak which does include social distancing measures provided from our local health department. We hope to have a plan out to you next week. We have penciled in May 11 for our kindergarten ceremony and May 12 for our 5th grade ceremony, but those dates may change depending on any further guidelines we may receive in the meantime. No, these graduation ceremonies will not be like we had in the past traditionally with everybody in the gym at the same time so we are going to have to be creative in our planning. And we hope everyone is flexible as we bring those plans out. Teachers will communicate our final plan to you, hopefully one day next week.

Again, thank you to all our SES families for your flexibility and your hard work in closing out this one of a kind school year. Thank you and I hope everyone has a terrific weekend.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns!

Sincerely,

Mr. Crase
