Hello everyone! My name is Beth Hoffmann and I am the speech-language pathologist for Stanton Elementary School. I thought it might be nice if I shared some information on this webpage for you (pictures to come!) just so you can get to know me!
I was raised in Johnson County Kentucky (about an hour East along the Mountain Parkway). As a high school student, I worked as a peer tutor in a special education classroom, and it was there that I first became passionate about working in this field. In 2007, I attended Eastern Kentucky University and completed my Bachelors of Science in Communication Disorders in 2011 and my Masters of Arts in Education in Communication Disorders in 2013. In August 2013, I took a position as the full time speech-language pathologist for Stanton Nursing Center and Rehabilitation. However, my love and passion for working with children with speech and language difficulties sparked my interest to start in the schools. I fell in love with this community working in the nursing facility here, and it was then that I decided that I wanted to start working with the children of this community.
At my time as an undergraduate student at Eastern Kentucky University, I also obtained a Dance Teaching Certification Minor. It I also teach a Dance Club with Mrs. Gillispie.
I look forward to meeting the children, parents, and families of Stanton Elementary School as well as Powell County.
