The mission of the Powell County School System is to ensure every students experiences consistent, high-quality learning focused on strong instruction, student engagement, continuous growth, and the development of the skills needed for success in school and life.
Our vision is to cultivate a learning community where collaboration, communication, contribution, and critical thinking empower every student.
Powell County is located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky, but is close to the larger communities of central Kentucky. We have numerous business and recreational opportunities.

Meetings
Regular Board Meetings are held in the Powell County District Board Room (Old Stanton Elementary Library) at 6:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of Each Month
