Health Program

The Powell County Board of Education places a strong emphasis on the health of our students.  All children entering the Powell County School System must have valid immunizations, physicals and screenings.  This immunization policy is strictly enforced for all schools throughout the district.

We are very fortunate to employ nurses to provide nursing services to the students in our schools.

We are also excited to announce that we are partnering with Sterling Health.  They have clinics set up in each of our schools.

The Powell County Board of Education provides student insurance for all students.   If parents/guardians don't have insurance, the student insurance claim is submitted for accidents related to school and sports.
