AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION PROGRAM OF STUDY: Animal Science Systems Pathway, Agricultural Power, Structural, Technical Systems Pathway, and Horticulture Pathway
Teachers: Cole Wills and Langdon Winburn
Within the Agricultural Education Program of Study, Powell County High School offers three pathway choices including Animal Science Systems, Agricultural Power, Structural, Technical Systems, and Horticulture and Plant Science Systems. Students enrolled in any of the pathways under the Agricultural Education Program of Study may participate in the agriculture career and technical student organization, The National FFA Organization.
The Animal Science Systems Pathway focuses on the scientific principles that underline the breeding, care and management of agricultural animals and the production, processing and distribution of agricultural animal products. This includes developing better, more efficient ways of producing meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products.
