HEALTH SCIENCE PROGRAM OF STUDY: Allied Health Career Pathway

Within the Health Science Program of Study, Powell County High School offers the Allied Health Career Pathway. The pathway is a general, introductory, undifferentiated, or joint pathway in health services occupations that prepares individuals for either entry into specializes training programs or for a variety of concentrations in the allied health area. This includes instruction in the basic sciences, research and clinical procedures, and aspects of the subject matter related to various health occupations. Students can participate in the health science career and technical student organization, Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA).
